Lisa Power

Lisa has been in the hair industry since 1986 and opened Lisa Power Salon in July '06. Lisa specializes in curly hair and has honed her own unique technique. She is also a Certified Deva Curl Inspired Stylist for those wanting a true Deva Curl experience. Education has always been a top priority for Lisa as she has trained stylists and educators around the world most of her career. She was the lead educator for ICON International for six years, spent 13 years as an educator for Sebastian International, and was the creative lead at her previous salon. Lisa won the prestigious honor of 2015 Master Stylist Award from the Northwest Hairdressing Awards. She has been designated as the “Best Hair Colorist” in Seattle by Allure Magazine twice in two years, and Seattle Magazine listed her twice as the “Best Place to Go Red.” In addition, Lisa’s talents have been highlighted in numerous trade and consumer articles.

Lisa loves all aspects of color from reds to gray coverage to blonds. She loves the challenge of corrective color and excels in creative color placement. Her style of hair cutting ranges from very creative to completely classic. She’s mastered cutting with a straight edge razor to achieve a very soft textured effect, while designing for individual face shapes and hair textures.

Lilliam Villa

I have been involved with the hair industry my whole life and now professionally since 2013. I love all aspects of hair dressing and I particularly enjoy color correction, Balayage, and varieties of hair color from trendy to natural. My newest endeavor is being an educator for Deva Curl. I have always worked with a lot of curly clients and now adapting the Deva technique has broaden my scope of curly hair tricks. I love teaching people how to work with their curls and really enjoy creating beautiful shapes with your individual texture. I enjoy men’s cutting and barbering so bring me your men! I love creating a soft look cutting with a razor or a more geometric shape with shears.

When I’m not working I still love dancing, going to theater, yoga, road tripping and kayaking in the summer. Just enjoying what the Seattle and the Northwest has to offer.

Marie Byrne

I started my hair journey 15 years ago with a box of blue color and some clippers and went to town (please don’t do this). It wasn’t pretty but I had a pretty strong intuition that I was destined to be a hairdresser. I’ve always excelled at working with my hands with wood working, metal sculpture and all things art. I knew I wanted to be in a career that would allow me to work with my hands, be creative, artistic and be my authentic self. When I attended Gary Manuel Aveda Institute in 2016, in knew I had chosen the right career and never looked back.

Now I have finished my training with Lisa and honed my skills. I love attention to detail so I do great with projects, precision cuts, Balayage and I’m loving working with curly hair. I also love doing Brazilian Blowouts and because I’m a natural red head, I love playing with the red color spectrum.

When I’m not making people beautiful I love hiking, snowboarding, gardening, traveling, playing with my super cute dog Varo (aww so sweet) and my Greek/Irish hubby! By the way, I’m Canadian and you will love me!

Mariah Shinner

Mariah loves doing hair; many of her earliest memories include sweeping hair and swiping lollipops from her mother’s salon’s candy jar. Since then, she has cultivated and fostered a career in hairdressing with an emphasis on continuing education. Having been an educator for Davines, Mariah loves sharing her passion for teaching to anyone that will listen…including her clients. She is the first to say yes to attending any educational class and will always be up to date with techniques and trends. Above all else, Mariah loves connecting with people and giving her clients a great style that fits their individual lifestyle.

Mariah is great with all hair textures, including curly hair, and comes to Lisa Power Salon with five years of experience as a stylist.  She has taken an educational boot camp course with Lisa and a curly hair course and is ready for all of your color and cutting needs. She is excellent with Balayage, Foils, Fashion Colors, Bleach and Tones, and more natural colors.

Outside the salon, Mariah takes on passion projects such as co-founding The Forage, a pop-up hair show spotlighting Pacific Northwest hairdressers, and raising money for Camp Agape. She is also an aspiring Golden Girl and can be found reading, crocheting, and wondering if there is cheesecake in the freezer.
